Moving from Miss to Mrs.

With Valentines behind us now, two brides-to-be, Madison Cates and Zaida Louther, have said “Yes” to their fiancés.
Madison Cates, a senior pre-med psychology major, is engaged to Dylan Miller (yes, Miller’s BBQ).
They’ve been dating for eight months and met when Cates started working at Miller’s.
Miller brought Cates to the family property to take pictures for putting the property on the market.
There he proposed during the sunset. They have already started planning for the wedding.
“I have family friends that own a farm in Troy… and we’re having the reception at Millers,” Cates said.
She is going dress shopping in March at Georgio’s and they have an online catalog to look at.
They want to go to Colorado for their honeymoon.
Cates’ biggest tip is to let people help you and “just sit and enjoy being engaged… you’ll be married the rest of your life.”
Cates refers to her future mother in law and friends for help and goes to Pinterest and Etsy for little details.
Zaida Louther, a freshman music major, is engaged to Dylan Tidwell.
Tidwell proposed on Christmas Day to Louther after over 3 1/2 years of dating.
As a proposal, Tidwell agreed to make their annual slide show that included photos of their last year together.
However, he instead made it a slideshow about their entire relationship.
After the slide show, Tidwell slow danced with Louther as her brother walked up to them with the ring.
They are getting married in 2019.
“We are doing a little bit on the weekends…and since the wedding is so far away everything is pretty spread out,” she said.
Louther uses Pinterest to help plan the wedding and has a GroupMe app with all her bridesmaids.
