Cru advance in NCAA play

The Cru led for the whole game and secured a win against The University of Texas at Dallas Feb. 3 in the first round of the NCAA tournament.

Despite many rallies from UTD, they could not overcome the perseverance of the home team and the loud cheering crowd.

The men are now 22-7 this season with the 86-77 victory against the Comets.

Leading the Cru with 26 points was Marlon Miller.  He hit 5-10 three-pointers. Robert Moore was next in line with 17 points 12 rebounds.

The Cru will advance to the Second Round of the NCAA tournament. It will be held this Saturday, Feb. 5, against the winner of the American Southwest Tournament, McMurry University in Abilene. This will be only the second time in UMHB history for the men to go the second round of the tournament. Tip-off is at 7 p.m.
